Deleting your PersonalLedger account
How to delete your PersonalLedger account and everything in it — from the app or by request — and what happens to your data.
Version 1.0-draft · Not yet in effect
Draft — prepared before launch, not yet in effect, pending legal review. Highlighted text marks facts that still have to be decided.
Delete it yourself (fastest)
- Sign in to PersonalLedger on the web or in the app.
- Open Settings → Privacy & data.
- Optional: choose “Download my data” first to keep a copy.
- Choose “Delete account”, type your account email to confirm, and delete.
Can't sign in?
Reset your password from the sign-in page first. If that doesn't work, email [ACCOUNT DELETION REQUEST CONTACT REQUIRED] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify that the request comes from the account holder and delete it within one month.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account (email and password).
- Your profile, settings and everything you've logged: training, nutrition, cycle, body, sleep, mind, journal, goals, budget, books.
- Your progress photos and profile photo — removed from storage first. If deletion stops part-way, your account remains (some photos may already be gone) and trying again safely completes it.
- Your follows, followers and shared workouts.
- Your record of privacy choices.
It happens immediately and cannot be undone. Copies in our providers' backups expire on their own schedule: [BACKUP RETENTION PERIOD REQUIRED]. We don't keep anything else after deletion. [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED — confirm no legal retention obligation applies]
